Abstract

The General Department of Education and Culture (DGEC) is the body responsible for managing the Corporation's educational policy, academic specialization, the defense of culture, history, and identity, in addition to assessing the physical fitness of troops based on strengthening the Military Police ethos.

Its support units for military police education are: the Military Police Academy (APM), the Enlisted Training and Improvement Center (CFAP), the Military Police Training Center (CTPM), the Military Police Memory Center (CMPM), and Military Supervision Colleges.

The development of internal educational activities within the Corporation occurs in two major subareas: Initial Training and Continuing Education. Regarding the external aspect, educational activities are processed through civic-military actions developed in Military Schools. And, in the historical and cultural aspect, through lectures, exhibitions, and free and monitored visits to the CMPM.

The DGEC is headed by Colonel QOPM Albernando Monteiro da Silva and the headquarters are located at QCG.
