Police Operations
Abstract
The General Operations Department of the Military Police of Pará (DGO) is the general management body responsible for supervising, coordinating, controlling and monitoring the intermediate management bodies and executing the overt policing activity of preserving public order, which is the main activity of the Corporation.
The major policing operations carried out by the Military Police are the responsibility of this Department, such as the Círio de Nazaré, Veraneio, end-of-year parties and repossessions operations, among others of a special, ordinary and extraordinary nature.
The Intermediate Operational Commands (COINTs) and the Community Policing and Human Rights Directorate (DPCDH) are directly subordinate to the DGO. In total, there are thirteen Regional Commands (CPRs I to XIII) in the interior of the State and three Intermediate Commands in the Metropolitan Region (CPRM, CPC I and CPC II). There are also three Specialized Commands (CME, CPA, CPE) in the capital. The COINTs are directly subordinate to them, the Battalions (BPM) and the Independent Companies (CIPM).
The General Department of Operations is headed by Colonel QOPM Pedro Paulo dos Santos Celso and the headquarters is located at the General Command Headquarters.
