Abstract

The General Inspectorate of the Military Police of Pará is responsible for monitoring, guiding and preventing the conduct of members of the Corporation, aiming at preserving ethical values, strengthening discipline and qualifying military police officers to improve public service. Its staff consists of 249 military police officers, 64 of whom are officers and 185 enlisted men.

The General Inspectorate is headed by an officer of the highest rank in the Military Police Officers' Cadre, a law graduate, appointed by the General Commander and subject to approval by the State Council for Public Security (CONSEP). The current Inspector General is Colonel Albernando Monteiro da Silva.
