Abstract
The Military Health Corps (CMS) was created in July 2002 to reorganize, improve, and individualize the health systems and health care of military organizations in the State of Pará. The CMS has an organizational structure composed of 15 operating Units, intended for direct assistance to human and animal health. They are: the State Military Police Hospital (HPM), the Central Medical Outpatient Clinic (AMC), the Medical Expertise Center (CPM), the Dental Clinic (ODC), the Analysis and Diagnostics Laboratory (LAD), the Pharmaceutical Supply Center (CAF), the Veterinary Medical Center (CMV), the Rehabilitation Center (CR), and the 07 (seven) Area Health Units.
USA I is located at CFAP; USA II, at IESP; USA IV, at CME; USA VI, in the city of Santarém, offering medical, dental, pharmaceutical, nursing, physiotherapy and veterinary services; USA VII, in Marabá, with medical, dental, pharmaceutical, nursing and physiotherapy specialties; USA VIII, in Castanhal; and USA IX in Tucuruí. CPR V, in Redenção, provides medical services, as does CPR X, in Itaituba; and CPR IX, in Abaetetuba, with dental services.
