Abstract

We have reached the conclusion of this edition of the first Pará Military Police Yearbook for the years 2019/2020, produced by a team of professionals committed to the institutional mission of revealing the functioning of this state mechanism, present in all municipalities in the State.

Our purpose was to provide information to the internal public of the Corporation and to society in general about the role played by each of the bodies that make up the Institution, with the presentation of productivity indicators in the areas of personnel, teaching, logistics, finances and operations.

In these two years of Command, we have seen several transformations within the scope of our military police activity. The reduction in the number of deaths of public security agents and crime rates in the State are results of this work, returned to a safer society.

The advent and uncertainty created by the SARS-CoV-2 (Covid-19) pandemic did not prevent us from maintaining our commitment to maintaining public order and providing services to society. Our brave soldiers faced the challenge, overcoming their fears and anxieties along the way.

Finally, we would like to thank the professionals who collaborated and participated in the creation of this information catalog, which is an important tool for study and analysis in the decision-making process and, more than that, helps us fulfill our mission to serve and protect the people of Pará.
