Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  • Before submitting the article, the author must read the submission rules and format it according to the TEMPLATE of the Scientific Journal PMPA em Revista.
  • Agree with the copyright notice.
  • Include the authors' data, including name, biography, e-mail and ORCID and the article data: name and abstract in the PMPA Scientific Journal system.

Author Guidelines

RULES FOR SUBMITTING ARTICLES

ORCID registration: Researchers must be registered with ORCID. (https://orcid.org/register).

Authors: Up to four authors are allowed per article, who must be identified in a personalized footnote.

Submit two files of the scientific article: one with the author's identification and the other without the author's identification, via the OJS platform to be evaluated by the Scientific Editorial Board.

Ethical standards: Submissions must follow the rules of the ethics committee.

Publication format: Articles must be formatted according to the standards adopted by the journal (XML, HTML, PDF, etc.).

Metadata and DOI: Keep the metadata up to date and assign a unique DOI to each article or document published.

Image resolution: Figures must be supplied in high resolution (300 DPI for printing) to ensure that the printout is crisp and clear;

FORMAL RULES FOR SUBMITTING ARTICLES

Text in “MSWord”;

A4 paper format (210 x 297mm);

Top and left margins: 3.0 cm;

Bottom and right margins: 2.0 cm;

Paragraph with first line indent: 1.25 cm;

Alignment: justified;

Line spacing: 1.5 cm;

Spacing between paragraphs: 0 pt before and 0 pt after;

Other paragraph offsets (examples and quotations): 2.0 cm;

Indentation in direct quotations of more than 3 lines: 4.0 cm;

Direct quotations use the author-date system (surname of the author referred to in the text, year of publication and pages, if any, separated by commas);

Short quotations will be integrated into the paragraph, with the beginning preceded by quotation marks, which will also mark the end of the quotation;

References must follow the standards: NBR 6023:2018;

Citations must follow the standards: NBR 10520:2023;

Drawings, graphs, maps, charts and photographs must contain a title and source, be numbered, in a visible and high-quality condition and in a format compatible with conversion to PDF format;

Tables: They should be cited in the text, inserted as close as possible to the passage to which they refer and standardized according to the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE);

Equations and formulas: To make them easier to read, they should be highlighted in the text and, if necessary, numbered with Arabic numerals in brackets, aligned to the right. In the normal sequence of the text, it is permissible to use a longer line between the elements (exponents, indices, etc.);

Abstract in the vernacular language/Abstract in a foreign language;

Abstracts of journal articles should be between 100 and 250 words;

Articles should be a minimum of 4,000 characters with space, or 10 pages, and a maximum of 9,000 characters with space, or 23 pages.

Interview

The interviews will have their configuration defined by the magazine's editorial committee.
